Kierstead Outstanding in Loss to Georgetown
Caleb Kierstead was outstanding in goal, but the Dundas PeeWee AE Blues were unable to mount any offense, falling 2-0 to the Georgetown Raiders, in tight-checking OMHA Playdown action on Wednesday, January 30th in Georgetown.

Coming into the contest, the Blues knew they needed to put forward a better effort than the last time they faced Georgetown.  And, for the most part, they did.  But the Raiders, who compete during the regular season at the AE1 level (one level above Dundas), showed the same quickness they showed in the first meeting.  They didn't let the visitors get any flow going, while at the same time, creating opportunities with their speed.

When Georgetown did get some offense going, Kierstead stood tall in the Dundas net.  He was perfect, until beaten on a rebound late in the first period.

The second period featured some great open ice play, and both teams were physical, which nulified many of the offensive rushes.  Both teams did a good job killing penalties, as there were no good chances with the man advantage.

The score remained 1-0 until midway through the third period, when the Raiders got some insurance.  Dundas pressed to get on the board, but whenever they managed to penetrate the Georgetown zone, Ethan Kerr turned them away, earning the shutout.

The Blues complete their first round of the playoffs on Monday, February 4th, when they travel to Hespeler, to face off against the Shamrocks.
