Additions Bolster Blues In Win Over Erin
The Dundas PeeWee AE Blues, sponsored by S D Davis & Associates, began their Tri-County league playoffs on Sunday, February 10th in Erin-Hillsburgh, downing the Devils 7-2.  The Blues were bolstered by the addition of Mason Baker and Christian Kovacevic, who joined Dundas for the contest, as the visitors had a short bench, due to a pair of suspensions.  And the call-ups looked like they belonged, helping the Blues to the win.

Head Coach Brian Parry decided to play Baker and Kovacevic on the same line, centred by Brett Parry.  And, the move paid off big-time.  Each member of the line had a goal and an assist, and they were a combined +11 for the game.

Willie Tanner opening the scoring midway through the first period.  Baker gave the Blues a 2-0 lead after one, scoring from Parry in the final minute of the frame.

The home side got on the board on a power play, early in the second, before Tanner struck again, off of a great face-off win by Matt Czum.  Dundas led 3-1 with a period to play.

Early in the final period, Jonny Brown stepped in from the point, and wired a wrist shot into the top corner, to make it 4-1.  Following an Erin goal, it was Parry's turn, scoring from Kovacevic.  Shortly after, Tommy Stevens let a shot go from the blue line, and it found it's way into the net to give Dundas a 6-2 lead.  With just under two minutes left, Kovacevic, playing his first ever Rep game, capped a great night with his first goal, to close the scoring.

The same teams meet next weekend in Dundas, but before that, the Blues travel to Acton on February 13th, for a game against the Tanners.
