Tyke Blues Taste Both Victory and Defeat
The Dundas Nine-O Tyke Blues tasted both victory and defeat this week in Tri-County action.  On Wednesday night the Blues traveled to Hespler’s barn to face the Shamrocks.

The teams battled hard throughout the first and second period creating numerous scoring opportunities, but the net minders at both ends of the ice shut down the shooters.  The third period was a different game, with Hespler finding the net first.  After two unanswered goals, the Blues stormed down the ice and tied up the game with goals from Kael Andrew and Sean Tutt.  The Shamrocks found the net in the final minutes of the game to defeat the Blues 3-2.  Helpers went to Matthew Taylor, Kai Sulentic and Andrew.

On Saturday, the Blues hosted the Milton Winterhawks at Olympic.  The Blues returned to their winning ways, securing the 4-2 victory over the Hawks.  The Blues found the net in the second period with goals from Martin and Logan VandenHeuvel.  Although the Hawks made a comeback, the Blues secured the win in the third period with a goal by Andrew.  Assists on the day went to Andrew, Martin VandenHeuvel and Declan Forth.  Strong defensive play this week from Jude Kierstead and Zachary Klapman, helped both Alex Gazzola and Adam Edwards between the pipes.
