Last Minute Goal Sinks Blues
For most of their game on November 21st against the New Hamburg Huskies, the Dundas Bantam AE Blues had a good road effort.  The Blues, sponsored by Nordic Gold Salmon Products, played even with the home side, but stopped skating the last five minutes, and surrendered the game winner with 21 seconds to play, dropping a 3-2 final.

Dundas was whistled for two penalties in the opening minute of the game, but did a great job killing them off.  It was scoreless after one, with the visitors holding a 10-4 edge in shots on goal.

The second period was also evenly played, as both teams had a number of chances, but both goalies were excellent between the pipes.  Tristan Burr finally broke the scoreless tie midway through the frame, assisted by Matt Czum, after Tommy Stevens did a nice job on a couple of occasions, keeping the puck in the zone at the point.  The Huskies tied it up four minutes later, and the teams were knotted 1-1, heading to the final period.

It was New Hamburg who took their first lead of the game midway through the third, before Ethan Truman took a pass from Burr to even the score once again, setting the stage for the game winner from the Huskies in the waning seconds.

The Blues head to Strathroy for the AE Olympics, where they will play four preliminary round games, including another tilt with the same New Hamburg team.
