Woods Minor Atom Blues are keeping the OMHA Semifinals series exciting, trailing
a 2-1 series lead to their largest rivals the Caledon Hawks.
The past week of “AA” OMHA Semifinal action has been filled with both highs and lows for the Dundas Blues. On Wednesday the Blues took to the road and fell to the Caledon Hawks in Game 1.
On Saturday, the huge hometown crowd helped the Blues tie up the series 1-1. After trailing 1-0 in the second period, the Blues came back with 4 unanswered goals posting a 4-1 victory.
Game 3 went back to Caledon Sunday, with the Blues securing a 3-1 lead going into the final 2 minutes of the game. Unfortunately, it was Caledon’s turn to comeback, securing 2 goals in the final minutes to take the game into overtime. Although there was some controversy surrounding the winning goal, the Hawks secured the 4-3 victory, resulting in a 2-1 series lead.
The Blues are once again hoping for some hometown support as they head into game 4 at Market St. Arena on Tuesday looking to tie the series up at 2-2.
