Message From The President

Well, January is over and playoffs are in full swing. I wish everyone luck moving forward! 


As you all know we have big changes next year as Market Street Arena (J.L Grightmire) undergoes extensive renovations.  There has been a lot of speculation as to where we will be going come next hockey season.  To that end I have some answers for you.  House League will be using Olympic arena.  Rep teams will be using a mixture of Coronation, Beverly, Eastwood and on the nights that the Mccoys aren’t using it, Harry Howell on those Friday’s.  I know it’s not ideal, but we will make the best out of it and come back in 2018/19 season to a beautiful brand new arena.  Due to these changes we need to have an idea of numbers moving forward.  So registration will be opening VERY SOON!!  The costs for each division will be coming out shortly. For those of you that register AFTER may 31st, there will be an additional late fee added to the registration.  Most likely $100 just as this year, but that too will be sent out with the division costs.  


Please remember as we move forward that there is to be NO abuse of the officials, and while there is always a certain amount of contact in hockey, it IS in fact non-contact.  As the season gets ready to wind down please keep in mind that this is, first and foremost, a game!! And the primary objective should be the kids enjoyment of the game.  I look forward to seeing some exciting games in the upcoming few weeks.
