IMPORTANT INFO Registration, Try Out and 2017/2018 Playing Locations Update
Submitted By Andrea Contant on Friday, March 03, 2017
DMHA is committed to offer a hockey program for Dundas kids next year.  We want to offer competitive environment that could include Tri-County A or AE for the year 2017-18 for rep, and a year of development and skills building for house league.

Where we will be playing;

In order to offer these programs we need to evaluate our enrollments in our programs. To start with, ALL of our house league teams will be playing out of Olympic arena!!!!! Our rep teams will have a mixture of arenas, from Beverly to Coronation to Eastwood.  And for thoseFriday nights that the Mccoys aren’t using Harry Howell we will play some games out of there.

To move forward with our rep programs we need to have enough kids registered for tryouts.  If the numbers aren’t what is needed to run a team the executive may have to make the difficult decision to cancel certain programs.  If DMHA does cancel certain programs because of low enrollment, players could be released to go tryout for another center providing they are registered with the DMHA.

We are providing people with the opportunity to pre-register for rep tryouts this Saturday March 4th at market street arena during the champ day.  Please come sign up.  A non-refundable $20 fee will be needed.  The only exception is if the team doesn’t move forward with a tryout or the player makes a AA or AAA team.  This $20 will be applied to the full tryout fee of $80 prior to tryouts or $100 at the door.

Here are a few things to consider.

  • If we don’t have 13-15 players registered for tryouts in a division by March 31 , we might have to cancel the program.
  • Each Players has to try out for their respected age group and will only be able to move up a category if;
    • The age appropriate category has a full roster
    • If the player has been evaluated and his part of the top 3 player of the next category team
  • In order to be released to another center, players would have to be registered for the DMHA Tryouts.  If the player has not registered for that particular DMHA Rep team they won’t be granted a release.

Registration will be opening Sunday March 5th.  It will remain open until May 31st.  At this point the registration will close and we will look at our numbers.  It will then RE-OPEN June 7th. At this point any registrations will be subject to a $100 late registration penalty.  I cannot STRESS enough the importance of early registration!!!!!  With our arena situation what it is we need to know our ice use and allocation as soon as we are able.

Unfortunately, our base registration amount will have to increase this year, in some cases quite substantially.

They are as follows;

  • IP - $410
  • Novice - $525
  • Atom - $550
  • Peewee - $550
  • Bantam - $550
  • Midget - $550

This is a large drop from our actual operating costs and is based on smaller numbers of players per team, but higher than the fees were last year.

Rep Fees

(These are subject to change dependant on the amount of players making the teams, these numbers are based on a 15 player team, NOT the FULL team of 17)

  • Tyke - $525
  • Novice - $605
  • Atom (minor and major) - $580
  • Peewee (minor and major) - $595
  • Minor Bantam - $650
  • Bantam - $705
  • Minor Midget - $815
  • Midget - $785

Thank you
