Welcome to Dundas Minor Hockey
Submitted By Anna Lugowski on Monday, June 26, 2017
Welcome to Dundas Minor Hockey!  We are looking forward to a great 2017-2018 season ahead.  If you are new to our association, or are thinking of signing your child up for hockey for the first time, here are some things you may want to know.

Our House League program, for children ages 7-17, begins in early October and runs through until March.  Your child will be placed on a team and will have one practice and one game weekly.

For children 6 and under we also have our Initiation Program, which is a development-based program for young children to introduce the fundamentals of hockey.

Although we are still confirming ice availability with the city, our programs will likely be 1 hour on Saturday and 1 hour on Sunday for most recreational divisions.  They will be held at Olympic Arena this year while Market Street Arena undergoes renovations.  Your child will require a complete set of protective gear, an approved helmet, and skates.  Mouth guards are required and we will be holding a mouth guard clinic closer for the start of season, to obtain a custom mouth guard at a competitive rate.

Families joining our association will be required to complete an online course called “Respect in Sport” which is a requirement of Hockey Canada for all minor hockey associations.  The course takes approximately 1 hour to complete and the cost is $12.00.

Fees for out Initiation Program (ages 6 and under) are $510 for the season.

Fees for our Novice division (ages 7 and 8) are $625 for the season.

All other divisions are $650 for the season.

Financial assistance is available for those who qualify, both through the City Of Hamilton’s recreation fee assistance program, as well as Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program. See below for links.
