We hope that everyone is having a great summer! Preparations are well under-way in anticipation of the 2024-2025 hockey season, see below for some important updates:
Registration is open

-Registration closes on August 30th, and will open for late-registration only as space allows, so register today!
Pre-Season Development Sessions
- Looking to shake the rust off before the season starts? Or get your player tuned up for Select Tryouts? Our first round of Skill Development Sessions will start in September, run by professional Pro Hockey Life Academy coaches. See details below:
- Open to U11, U13 & U15 players
- Dates: Sept 16th, 20th, 23rd & 27th
- U11’s: 6-7pm
- U13/U15’s: 7-8pm
- Location: JL Grightmire Arena
- Cost: $100

- Note: A second round of development sessions will run mid-November to the December break, details will be announced closer to the season. We’ll also run goalie clinics throughout the year
U9 Development
- Our association will once again run a development program for U9 players
- The emphasis will focus on skating and other core hockey skills, and having fun! Details below:
- Open to all players born in 2016 & 2017
- Time: Thursdays @ 5pm, starting October 10th, ending February 27th
- Location: JL Grightmire Arena
- Cost: 18 sessions for just $200!
- Space is limited to 30 participants

Select Head Coaches
- Interested in being a Select Coach for this season? Apply Online!
- Application closes on August 30th
Select Tryouts
- Select hockey is perfect for those looking for more hockey, at a more competitive level, without the cost & time commitment of rep hockey
- Select teams feature an additional 1-2 hours per week on top of house league, with up to 4 games per month, and 2-3 tournaments throughout the season
- Select Fees are TBD, but we expect it to be around $650. The Select Tryout Fee is $50.

- Note: if there is sufficient interest, our U18 Convenor will organize a U18 Select team as the season approaches
Mascot & Social Media
- You’ll notice a new member of the DMHA family strutting around the rink this year, we have a mascot!
- This ice-cold, true-blue canine is ready to bring some serious swagger to our games and events. But we need YOUR help naming them!
