The Dundas Tyke Blues ended the season at the top by defeating the Erin-Hillsburg Devils 4-2 at Market Street Arena on Sunday.
The win capped a fantastic season and an incredible Championship
series. After a scoreless first period the Blues struck first with Ben
Lamb finding the back of the net. The game was tied at one goal a piece
until...
...Stefan Ptasyk's wrist shot went top shelf to give the boys the lead. Erin clawed back to tie it once more but Kane Reid cashed in and had the Devils fans singing the blues with the game winning goal. Noah Girard went on to add an empty netter to seal the win for Dundas. Assists were handed out by Ptasyk, Lamb, Mitchell Gardner, Daniel Kocken, Josh Parise and Kaeden Pipe. As always strong defensive play and the ever steady goaltending duo of Jack Meadows and Chase Atchison were key in the team's success.
