This weekend’s hockey
action saw two more victories posted for the Allstate/Copetown
Woods Dundas Novice Blues.
On Saturday the Blues hosted the Lincoln Blades to a 7-3 victory. Although the first period went scoreless, the Blues strength and depth shone as they started to dominate the play in the second. Finding the net for Blues included Kael Andrew, Martin VandenHeuvel, Kai Sulentic, and Logan VandenHeuvel with helpers going to the VandenHeuvels, Andrew and Matthew Taylor.
On Sunday, the Blues traveled to Fort Erie and posted a 10-0 victory. Goal scorers included Christopher Cheeseman, Luke Gardner, Declan Forth, Logan VandenHeuvel, Andrew, Gordon and Verschoor.
Team defense continues to be the strength of this Blues team, with outstanding weekend performances by Sean Tutt, Josh Verschoor, Coy Gordon and Taylor while Alex Gazzola and Adam Edwards continue to stay strong between the pipes.
