Novice Blues Take Down Kings in Nail Biter
On Tuesday, the Allstate/Copetown Woods Dundas Novice Blues traveled to Grimsby to take on the Kings in what turned out to be the most exciting game of the season.

The Kings opened the scoring 3 minutes into the game with the Blues answering 10 seconds later.  The Blues won the second period scoring three to the Kings two goals. By the third, the Blues continued to show their perseverance and snuck in two more goals past the Kings outstanding net minder securing the 6-4 victory.

On Sunday, the Blues hosted the Welland Novice A to another victory.  Both teams scored once in the first period, with the Blues continuing to gain momentum throughout the game posting an 8-2 victory.

Goal scorers for the week included Kael Andrew, Martin VandenHeuvel, Kai Sulentic, Declan Forth, and Logan VandenHeuvel.  Helpers went to Christopher Cheeseman, Forth, the VandenHeuvel brothers, Sean Tutt, Sulentic, Andrew, Ben Rego, Luke Gardner, and Megan Kosempel.

Defensive play by Coy Gordon, Tutt, Josh Verschoor, Matthew Taylor and Zak Klapman continues to illustrate the strength of this Novice team.  Kudos goes to Alex Gazzola and Adam Edwards who both stood on their heads between the pipes this week.
