Better Effort, Same Result for Blues
The Dundas Blues Bantam AE, sponsored by Persadie Medicine, played a much better overall game than their first three regular season contests, but the result was the same, as the Blues fell 4-1 to the Pelham Panthers, in Niagara District league play on October 8th in Pelham.

In earlier games, the effort wasn't there for Dundas.  But, on this night, the Blues matched the home side stride for stride and chance for chance in the opening frame, with each team garnering 10 shots on goal.  The Panthers, however, scored the only goal of the period, to take the early lead.

Pelham started to take control in the second, scoring twice with the man advantage, to take a 3-0 lead.  Dundas finally got on the board late in the period, with a power play marker of their own, as Max Homes fired a laser into the bottom corner.

The Panthers scored early in the third to close out the scoring.

Matthew Persadie played very well in goal for Dundas, facing 36 shots overall, compared to 22 at the Pelham net.

The Blues return to action on Saturday, October 11th at the Market Street Arena.  They will face off against the Garden City Merritton Bulldogs, in an 8:30pm puck drop.
