Minor Atom Blues Have a Winning Week
The Dundas “Allstate/Copetown Woods” Minor Atom Blues Hockey Team had a winning week in Tri-Country AA Division Hockey action, securing three victories against Halton Hills, Orangeville, and Centre Wellington respectively.

On Monday night, the Blues posted a 7-1 victory over Halton Hills.  Both Martin VandenHeuvel and Kai Sulentic found the net twice while Luke Gardner, Kael Andrew, and Declan Forth secured single goals.  Assists went to Christopher Cheeseman, Andrew, Forth, Jordan Nyland, and VandenHeuvel. 

On Wednesday, the Blues made the trek to Orangeville, defeating the Flyers 6-2.  Andrew, VandenHeuvel, Sulentic, and Forth, all found the net along with teammates Logan VandenHeuvel and Jack Peebles.  Helpers went to Logan VandenHeuvel, Sean Tutt, Sulentic, Zack Klapman, Martin VandenHeuvel, and Andrew. 

The Blues wrapped up the winning week with a 2-0 road win over Centre Wellington.  Andrew and Cheeseman secured the goals with a helper going to Martin VandenHeuvel.

 The Blues defensive players were instrumental in keeping this week’s offense in check with outstanding efforts by Coy Gordon, Josh Verschoor, and Matthew Taylor, while Adam Edwards and Alex Gazzola continue to shine between the pipes.

This brings the Blues to a regular season record of 8 wins and 1 loss as they sit atop the Tri-County AA standings.
