Blues Unbeaten Streak Ends At Nine Games
The Dundas PeeWee AE Blues, sponsored by S D Davis & Associates, saw their nine-game unbeaten streak come to an end on Saturday, January 5th at the Market Street Arena, as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Woolwich Wildcats.  The game was the final one of the regular season for the Blues.

Dundas showed signs of rust in the opening period.  Having not played a game in over 2 weeks, the home side took a while to find their stride.  However, they were able to keep the tough Woolwich squad off the scoresheet for most of the period, until the Wildcats opening the scoring on a power play, with 2:00 minutes to play in the period.  The next shift, the Blues tied it up, as Bradley Wright was sent in all alone, and made no mistake.  Drew Kloschinsky and Nathan Zontanos picked up assists, as the frame ended in a 1-1 tie.

There was no scoring in the second period, until the visitors found the back of the net as the buzzer went to end the period.

Woolwich, who finished the regular season in second place in the league, scored the only goal of the final period to ice it.

Dundas finishes in 4th place, with a 17-8-3 record (21-11-4 overall).  They have a week off, when they will prepare for the opening round of the OMHA Playdowns.  They will play a home-and-home round robin with Oakville, Hespeler and Georgetown.  The first game for the Blues is Sunday, January 13th at 4:30pm at the Market Street Arena, when they will get their first look of the year at the Georgetown Raiders.
