This weekend, the
Dundas Nine-O Tyke Blues added to their win column with victories over the
Halton Hills Thunder and the Erin-Hillsburgh Devils.
On Saturday, the Blues hosted the Thunder to a 6-3 victory. Kai Selentic was the play maker of the game with 4 assists setting up goals for Logan VandenHeuvel, Kael Andrew, and Martin VandenHeuvel. But Sulentic wasn’t the only play maker that day. Additional helpers went to Ben Rego , Martin VandenHeuvel, Declan Forth and Coy Gordon.
The Blues took to the road Sunday where they defeated the Devils in their home barn. Blues net minder, Alex Gazzola played strong between the pipes, securing the Blues 5-1 win. The defensive support provided by Zachary Klapman, Jason MacNeil and Megan Kosempel was critical in keeping the Devil’s shots in check. The Blues offensive rush was generated by the assists from Sulentic and Sean Tutt, while Andrew, Martin VandenHeuvel and Forth snuck the puck past the Devil’s goalie.
The Blues take a break from League play as they head North to the Brad Bulldogs Blue & Gold Tournament, where they will be in for a test against the unknown teams of North Toronto White, the Stoufville Clippers and the Kitchener Mighty Ducks. League play resumes the following week with the Blues next home action taking place at Market St. Arena on Saturday December 14th at 5:00 pm.
