Unstoppable Tyke Blues
The Dundas Nine-O Tyke Blues proved to be unstoppable this week in Tri-County playoff action.

On Tuesday night, the Blues took to the road to secure a 4-1 victory over the Guelph Gryphons.  The Blues battled hard, dominating both ends of the ice. Owen Cox was the first to find the net for the Blues, followed by a natural hat trick by Martin VandenHeuvel.  Assists for the game went to VandenHeuvel, Declan Forth, Zachary Klapman, Coy Gordon, and Megan Kosempel.   Blues net minder, Alex Gazzola dominated between the pipes, holding the Gryphons to just one goal.

On Sunday, the Blues took their inspiration from Team Canada’s gold medal game and secured a 7-0 victory over the Caledon Hawks.  Declan Forth found his first of two goals in the net within the first minute of play.  VandenHeuvel’s stick proved to be hot again, securing an additional 5 goals for the Blues.  Helpers for the day went to Matthew Taylor, Logan VandenHeuvel, Gordon, and Kael Andrew.  Defensive standouts for the game included Sean Tutt and Klapman, while Adam Edward’s “Price Like” reflexes locked up the shut out for the Blues.
