The
Dundas Nine-O Tyke Blues had a busy week of Tri-County playoff action.
Although the game results did not favour the Blues at the start of the week, where they faced back to back losses against the Hespeler Shamrocks and Caledon Hawks respectively, their 3-1 victory over the Guelph Gryphons on Sunday proved to be enough to secure their Tri-County Championship birth against their arch rivals, the Hespeler Shamrocks.
Goal scorers for the week included Logan VandenHeuvel, Martin VandenHeuvel, Kai Sulentic, and Kael Andrew, with helpers going to Megan Kosempel, Jason MacNeil, Declan Forth, Zachary Klapman, Martin VandenHeuvel, and Andrew. Defensive standouts for the week went to Coy Gordon and Sean Tutt.
The Blues head to Hespeler this Wednesday to finish off the round-robin component of the playoffs, giving them one last look at their Championship series opponent.
