Tyke Blues Secure another Victory
On Saturday, the Dundas Nine-O Tyke Blues secured a 3-2 victory over the Woolwich Wildcats.

The Blues were the first to find the net with Kai Sulentic sneaking one past the Wildcat net minder compliments of a helper from Christopher Cheeseman.  The Wildcats echoed the goal in the final minute of the first period, making it a tie game going into the second.  The Blues found the net again with a goal by Kael Andrew, but the Wildcats roared back, making it a 2-2 game going into the final period.  Both teams fought hard throughout, but the Blues secured the win when Logan VandenHeuvel assisted his brother Martin’s goal in the final minute of play.

Defensive efforts by Megan Kosempel and Jason MacNeil were instrumental in assisting Blues goaltenders Adam Edwards and Alex Gazzola in securing the win.

The Tyke Blues finish up their regular season this weekend on the road in Woolwich on Saturday, followed by another clash with the Hespeler Shamrocks on Sunday.  The playoff schedules are still being drafted, however the Tyke Blues will see some new faces on the road to the Championship this year.  Along with the Hespeler Shamrocks, those standing in the way of the Tyke Blues playoff run are the Caledon Hawks and the Guelph Gryphons.
